Ps James and Ps David lead us in the first of our deeper teaching series looking at problem of sin. Drawing on scripture and lived experiences they attempt to define sin by stripping cultural baggage and returning to a biblical definition of an offence against a holy God. Holding up scriptures such as Romans 6:23, a case for 'yes all sins are offensive to God and deserving of death' is acknowledged, however a study of both old testament examples and Jesus' words clearly demonstrates how different sins are considered differently.
